Rule 3
Category Division

The service consists of the following categories on the basis of educational qualification, type of work, and experience. According to the need, the said category can be elaborated by the Government of Nepal.
(1) “A” category –
(a) Degree in Science, or
(b) A diploma holder who has been serving the Government of Nepal for a period of 10 years after receiving commission in the Nepalese Army before the coming into force of this rule. (2) “B” Category –
(a) Received a diploma, or
(b) Officers with a diploma or professional training in a special military occupation. Note – (a) The highest rank of Technical Officer of “B” category shall be Major Soldier.
(b) All “A” Technicians are eligible for promotion to the highest grade of their Stavlisment as per rules, within the age limit.
(c) Extension of Category Division:- “A” Category “B” Category
(1) Degree holder in Science (1) Diploma holder
(2) Diploma holder officers who have been serving the Government of Nepal for 10 years before the commencement of this rule.
(3) Technical salary scale civil for special professional work

(2) (a) Signal of not allowing to come to technician “A” even if he does not pass the course and pass part “A” and “B” examination. The same or similar professional candidate of the Nepali Army as per the Pirhe.
(4) Long Telecom Officer, Simmunal Officer who has passed the Telecom Short Telecom Course and does not have to take part "A" and "B" test.
(5) Passed Degree Engineering Course and Associate Membership Examination of Institution of Engineers
(India) section “A” and “B” should be checked.
(6) Degree holder surveyor. Authorized.
(B) That part "A" and "B" should be checked C. A.
(3) (a) Even though Sections "A" and "B" are not required to be examined, they will not be allowed to proceed to Technical "A".
(b) Sections “A” and “B” should not be examined.
(4) Wand Master.
